Hey there - and thanks for visiting Ctrl Y Designs! My name is Lauren Glass, the founder and principal at Ctrl Y Designs. I’m a California native who moved to DC 14 years ago to study International Affairs and Art History at The George Washington University. I worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for 10 years before finally deciding to follow my passions and return to school to study Interior Design. In May 2020, I graduated from Marymount University with a Master of Arts in Interior Design. I have spent the last two years working at Hapstak Demetriou Architecture + Design designing restaurants, multi-family spaces, and residences.
I started Ctrl Y Designs so I could start sharing my passion for design and bring that passion into people’s homes. I love mixing styles - my Southern California roots blended with my current East Coast lifestyle create a unique and layered approach to design.
And if you are wondering, why “ctrl-y”? It’s the keyboard command for “Redo”. 😉
